First Person and Character Alienation
So I'm starting to get my first reviews and the seem to fall in to two categories at the moment: 1) Love the book and can't wait to read more. 2) Adored Aideen but hate Bryce. Now once the knee jerk reaction of 'how dare you not like my character' had worn off I tried to look at this more objectively, I need feed back to become a better writer and take other people's views in to account. Don't get too excited
So I made progress over the Christmas period, ramping up the The Bride of Fire to a word count of 19,000 and according to my meter bar its 76% complete. In the reality try more 15%. The word meter is just the minimum word count I need to hit but you can't rush the relationship development between two characters and its tricky. It's not neat so unfortunately I haven't got anything to share as I keep hopping round write this and that and then I stitch it together. At the moment
